Pretentious art
a lot of art in the contemporary thingy is pretentious, they can make an installment that nobody except themselves understand and will get a million bucks out of it. but you'll never see that in other art forms like music or storytelling, if they make music or stories that literally only they understand- they get 0 dollars and a waste of time, but in contemporary art its somehow glorified to make stuff that nobody gets. is this a rich people thing?
